Player Discovers a One Shot Build in Mistfall Hunter and it Costs Practically Nothing
Well, that's one way to win any fight.
A Mistfall Hunter player who goes by “Ryan an the world” discovers a shocking and almost cinematic build using the Withered Knight class that will blow anyone away, figuratively and literally.
For those who aren’t familiar with Mistfall Hunter, it is a fantasy extraction shooter multiplayer game with gameplay mechanics similar to souls-like fighting with progression simialr to most extraction shooters.
The game seems simple at first, but requires a lot of theorycrafting builds and skill mastering to truly flourish as a Gyldhunter.
However, Eyezio, Ryan an the world’s Withered Knight character, found a mind-blowingly cheap build that can beat anyone, regardless of how geared they are.
The Withered Knight’s Trolling Build Actually Working
The Withered Knight is one of the most flexible classes in the game. There are durable tanks, powerful supports, and powerful in clumped areas with a lot of walls and objects. The class thrives in sustaining damage and waiting for an opportunity to pin an opponent to something, almost stunlocking a player until they are gone.
However, Withered Knights doesn’t have the immediate or consistent burst damage as other classes, but you don’t need any of that for this build.
The Withered Knight one-shot trick only requires a few things, as explained in the video. You just need to max out the Ethereal affix for complete immunity to fall damage and you are good to go – and if you haven’t seen the video above, you might already see where this is going.
With complete immunity to fall damage, the “one-shot” technique uses the Rainbow Thrust (Polearm and Shield) to skewer the enemy to fall from an extremely high place. Since the thrust mechanic also involves you making that fall while you are immune to fall damage, you can practically find a nice spot, lure enemy players to it, and skewer them down, and they die to fall damage.
There are a few spots where you can do the trick, like high towers in both Hallowgrove and Brandrgarde. The one showcased in the video is next to the bridge between Verdant Grounds and Pioneer’s Gate in Hallowgrove.
These are highly contested areas since these two areas have several spawns and objectives, but if there aren’t any enemies, the trick involves some extra steps by luring those enemies to the spot. Imagine bringing your best purple or yellow gear to Hallowgrove Chaos and losing to a Withered Knight with barely 800 Gyldenblod equipment value worth of gear. Once the trick works, the fall is as glorious and cinematic as it gets, assuming you aren’t on the receiving side.
Who needs those long, drawn-out fights playing as a Withered Knight when you can just push someone off to their death using one button, feeling like Leonidas from 300 or maybe even Jaime Lannister from Game of Thrones.
