Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall is just about a couple of months away from release, and the excitement has built to an incredible level for the game. Today, Vince Zampella, co-founder of the studio, confirmed an all-important detail about it – just how many players you’ll be able to take on in battle.
When asked via Twitter how many players will be in a match, Zampella responded, “6vs6 is max player count. Turned out to be the best balance with AI for us.”
That’s a significantly lower count than, say, the 64-player count featured in Battlefield 4, but Zampella went on to explain the reasoning in a following tweet. “We had it higher at points in testing, this felt best.”
Just keep in mind that doesn’t mean only 12 players will be in action at once, as the game will feature fresh AI opponents in each fight, and “everyone can have a Titan in follow or guard mode, too.”
No matter how many players will take part, there’s no question that Titanfall’s action will certainly be epic.
Titanfall will release on March 11th for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
