Nintendo is pushing forward, as its Wii U launch is just over a month away, and it’s got some good games lined up for day one of its release. However, one title that won’t be making the trip to stores on November 18th is Pikmin 3, the long-awaited follow-up to the previous adventures with the “little guys”. It seems Nintendo needs just a little more time getting this game ready for its big debut.
But fret not, because you won’t be waiting long. Nintendo has confirmed that, though it’s not a day one title, Pikmin 3 will still make the company’s “launch window” for the system, slated for a spring 2013 release. We’re guessing that means March, but without an exact date, it’s hard to tell.
That leaves New Super Mario Bros. U as Nintendo’s most anticipated first-person launch title for the system, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Still, we know a few folks will be aching to get their hands on those Rock Pikmin.
Check back for more coverage on the Pikmin sequel soon!
