When looking over the list, one thing that really stood out to us were improvements made to the ghost AI in the game that make them even scarier to deal with.

For example, the AI ghost can now follow you around corners, open lockers and closets, and more.

Phasmophobia Update Makes Its Ghost AI Scarier

A fairly large update for Phasmophobia went live on March 6. The update includes a number of quality of life improvements that players will undoubtedly be happy to see along with bug fixes and improvements to the ghost AI that you encounter.

As noted above, many of the improvements to the ghost AI seem to make it scarier as it sounds like it’ll be easier for it to pursue you. Not only can the ghost AI follow you around corners, but apparently, “The ghost will now listen for player voices when hunting and will search those locations.”

Adding to this, the ghost AI will search the location where the player was last seen rather than searching random locations, and there’s a slight increase in the chance for the ghost to wander on all difficulties. The ghost will also target any player that gets close, even while it’s chasing another player.

Creepy, very creepy. Other updates center around gameplay with changes made that’ll make the game’s Professional Difficulty even more challenging, and things like an increase in the Parabolic Microphone range from 8 to 30 meters. Wondering what else was changed in the latest Phasmophobia update?

Below, we’ve included the full patch notes provided by Kinetic Games on Steam
