Today, the folks running the PAX convention series announced the dates for PAX East, not long after shelving PAX South indefinitely. Unlike PAX West, which was able to take place earlier in the year, the East version has laid out its health and safety policy in simple terms right in its press release. Pax East is taking place from April 21-24, in Boston, Massachusetts.

The safety policy this time is a full requirement for attendees to provide proof of full vaccination and wear masks while indoors. This is a change from PAX West, which notably faced controversy for not mentioning vaccines at all in its initial safety policy, then later following up with a “vaccines or negative test” rule. The press release also notes that the full vaccination and mask requirement will be the standard for all PAX events going forward for the time being.
PAX Unplugged is also coming up this December 10-12, which is a tabletop-focused event. The company announced the event’s keynote will be a “Storytime” session with Aabria Iyengar, a notable tabletop community content creator.
