Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures is a new side-scrolling adventure game, tied in with the upcoming animated series that will be premiering on Disney XD in the months ahead.  It involves the hero’s journey through Pac-World, battling the evil Netherworld ghosts.  As usual, he’ll have to eat them up and gain some interesting power-ups in the process, such as being able to use a long tongue to grab them from a distance.

“The Pac-Man franchise has touched millions of gamers and non-gamers since its humble beginnings more than 30 years ago,” said Calson Choi, Vice President of Marketing and Digital Sales at Namco Bandai.  “With its long-standing history, Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures emerges as a new and reimagined Pac-Man universe that still retains classic gameplay elements that will appeal to a whole new generation of gamers.”

The game will debut this fall for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.  We’ll have a first look following E3.  You can check out the debut trailer here.
