Once Human Becomes Most-Played Demo at Steam Next Fest June 2024

Another great survival game!

Steam’s 2024 June edition of Next Fest is over and one of its most-played games is making waves across the world. Once Human was crowned the most-played demo during Steam Next Fest June 2024, and it seems everyone’s looking forward to its release later in July.

Once Human is one of the latest survival games to join the genre. Once Human is a multiplayer open-world survival game set in a strange, post-apocalyptic future. The game is basically a dystopian version of Rust with upgraded features and heavy Resident Evil vibes. And it’s officially Steam Next Fest June 2024’s most-played demo. Now, that’s one hell of an achievement the developers can be happy about.

While it’s not said how many players enjoyed Once Human or what players liked about it, it’s safe to assume everyone just liked relishing another decent survival game. After all, we’ve had the chance to play Once Human during a playtest not too long ago, and it was incredibly fun. Once Human has massive servers where you can play with friends or by yourself, and in these realms, you can fight monsters, build bases, conduct raids, compete in PvE and PVP gameplay, and even participate in world events. Again, it’s what we’d imagine Rust would be like if you added monsters and zombie-like creatures.

And the greatest part about it all is that it’s coming out soon. If you played the demo or haven’t but you’re intrigued by Once Human, the title is well on the way. Once Human arrives on Steam this July 9, 2024, so make sure to mark your calendars. We’re looking forward to the game too, and we’ll be covering it in future guides, news, and lists, so stay tuned for more content on Prima Games!
