NintendoWare Weekly Update Brings Wario Land 3, Planet Crashers

Looks like a great update, particularly for Nintendo 3DS owners!

Nintendo may not have delivered the strongest 2012 release schedule, but it continues to pile on some pretty good games for its weekly NintendoWare updates for the 3DS, DS and Nintendo Wii.  Several classics became available today, including Wario’s debut adventure for the Game Boy and a World Heroes game that you might not have known existed.

Let’s take a look at what came out, shall we?

3DS eShop

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (Game Boy, 1 player, $3.99): Smash everything, grab treasure!

Mole Mania (Game Boy, 1 player, $2.99): Escape from blocked areas by pushing giant cannonballs around, digging holes, and traveling underground.

Planet Crashers (Ignition Entertainment, 1-2 players, $9.99): Explore dungeons in a sci-fi setting as a new graduate of the “Planet Crashers Academy.”

Dot Runner: Complete Edition (Intense Co., Ltd, 1 player, $4.99): It’s a dot-eating maze game, and a first-person action RPG, at the same time.

“A Month of Mario” sale: Super Mario Bros. (NES) for $3.99 (normally $4.99.) Valid today through August 1.

“Game of the Weekend” sale: Colors! 3D for $3.99 (normally $6.99). Valid from 12pm EDT Friday through 12am EDT Monday, July 30.

Wii

World Heroes Perfect (Neo Geo, 1-2 players, 900 Wii Points): The fourth World Heroes fighter.

DSiWare

Decathlon 2012 (Cinemax, 1-4 players, $4.99/500 DSi Points): Olympic events, controlled by a series of icons on the touchscreen.
