Although it’s not chock full of games this week, the Nintendo eShop update for this week is still an impressive one, with a couple of new titles for the Wii U and a classic favorite for the 3DS.
Leading the charge is Unepic, a new side-scrolling adventure from Barcelona-based Francisco Tellez de Meneses. It features a brave role-player fighting through a trouble-filled fantasy world, utilizing a number of weapons and potions. The game features an off-TV option for play on the GamePad, along with various items to use. It goes for $9.99.
Also making its debut on the Wii U is Codemasters’ arcade racing game F1 Race Stars: Powered Up Edition ($29.99). All the content from the original release is included, along with four additional tracks and a few bonus accessory packs. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it for kart racing fans.
The Wii U and 3DS also get a little bit of retro love with Konami’s Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest ($4.99), a classic NES adventure that plays out more with role-playing elements than the original game did. Nevertheless, it certainly has its fans.
Finally, over on the 3DS, Atlus’ Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl has been marked down for a limited time. You can get it for $19.99 through January 27th.
Happy downloading!
