Nintendo eShop Update Brings Classic and Retail Games Aplenty

There's more than a thirty-cent Super Metroid to be bought this week.

This week is actually a very good one for the Nintendo eShop, with a plethora of releases old and new to keep gamers busy going into the summer season.

As we reported yesterday, the SNES classic Super Metroid is now available for purchase at a very meager thirty cents.  But there’s more Virtual Console love on the system in the form of Super Ghouls n’ Ghosts, Capcom’s tough-as-nails action/adventure from the SNES.  In addition, two digital retail games will be available this Tuesday – Capcom’s Resident Evil: Revelations and WB Games’ Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.

Over on the 3DS, Mega Man 5 is the latest Virtual Console release and there are original games aplenty as well.  You can get Level 5’s The Starship Damrey for $7.99; battle with Swords & Soldiers 3D for $6.99; take on a Bowling Bonanza 3D for $5.99; get involved in Dress To Play: Magic Bubbles for $3.99; and take on the original Harvest Moon for $4.99.

The original Wii got a new addition as well, in the form of the SNK brawling classic King of Fighters ’99, which you can get for 900 Wii points.

Finally, DSiWare fans can check out California Super Sports for $4.99.

Pretty loaded week, that’s for sure!
