Nintendo Direct With “Roughly 50 Minutes of Information” Arrives February 17.

“Tune in 2/17 Tune in 2/17 at 2 p.m. PT for a Nintendo Direct Livestream featuring roughly 50 minutes of information focused on available games like Super Smash Bros Ultimate and games coming to Nintendo Switch in the first half of 2021.”

This is the first proper Direct since September 4, 2019. In 2020 Nintendo ditched the traditional form of video presentations in lieu of smaller, more partner-focused videos. It also simply tweeted out announcements like Paper Mario and The Origami King.

We don’t know much about Nintendo’s catalog of games for this year outside of New Pokemon Snap and the highly anticipated Monster Hunter Rise coming exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

This year is the 35 anniversary of Nintendo and the 25 anniversary of Pokemon, so it’s safe to assume that we will hear something about one of these two franchises tomorrow. Heavy rumors of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Remakes have been floating around since last year, but we could speculate endlessly.

We still haven’t heard anything further about the sequel to Breath of The Wild since it was first teased at E3 2019, so maybe an update of that.

We will know soon enough. So be sure to tune in on Nintendo’s Youtube channel, which can be found right here.
