Nier held a presentation during Tokyo Game Show this morning. In this tightly packed 50 minute presentation, there were plenty of announcements. The presentation’s main focus was the remake of the original Nier, which Toylogic calls Nier Replicant ver. 1.22474487139.

Nier Replicant launches in North America on April 23, 2021, just one day after it releases in Japan! There was a lot to talk about with Nier Replicant during the presentation.
We were also treated to the box art for Nier. Japan and North America will have different versions of the box art, which can be seen below.

If you’re in North America and like the Japanese box art better, you’re in luck! The NA box art is reversible and has the Japanese art on the other side.
Now, for the big Nier fans, Toylogic has something special for you. The White Snow Edition features collectible pins, a two-disc soundtrack, a steelbook case featuring artwork by Koda Kazuma, and a seven-book script set.
The exact details for the North American version are still being finalized, so this is subject to change before release. It’s currently available for pre-order on the Square-Enix store for $159.99.

Nier replicant is releasing on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. No word on a next-generation version of the game.
