Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza is officially headed to Pokémon GO this week, alongside a handful of other Gen 3 Pokémon from the Hoenn region. Starting on February 9, trainers can begin to see Rayquaza in Raid Battles for the first time in Pokémon GO, along with several Dragon- and Flying-type Pokémon in the wild. This also means that Kyogre will be on its way out on February 14.
To commemorate Rayquaza’s debut and to celebrate more than 100 Gen 3 Pokémon into Pokémon GO, every Pokémon found in the wild until February 13 will be Pokémon from the Hoenn region. Like other Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon GO, Rayquaza’s stay is temporary, and will only be found in Raid Battles until March 16.
Several special boxes are being added to the Pokémon GO in-game shop to help trainers accommodate their ever-expanding PokéDex. These boxes include useful items such as Raid Passes, Incubators, and Star Pieces. Additionally, Lure Modules will last for an extended time period of six hours, from now until February 23.
Rayquaza will be available in Pokémon GO from February 9 until March 16. Now is the perfect time to start filling out your PokéDex with your favorite Pokémon from Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire in Pokémon GO.
