Who’s your favorite team in NHL 14?

My favorite team is the Chicago Blackhawks because they have a great mix of speed, skill and aggression. Plus they’re the defending champs.

What advice do you have for players who pick this team when it comes to offense?

Patrick Kane is a lot of fun to play with because of his speed and agility.  He can create a lot of offense, but he’s very susceptible to physical play and big hits.

What’s your favorite way to take advantage of the collision engine with checks?

I really like stepping up on guys in the neutral zone because of how satisfying the hits are, but it often leads to odd man rushes when I miss, or the other player does a one-touch deke to get around the hit.

Who’s a go-to fighter, and what’s the best way to win a fight?

Zdeno Chara is a force to fight with because of his size and strength.  The best way to win a fight is to remain patient and look to dodge, counter punch or dodge, then pull the guy down into a vulnerable position with L2 or LT.

What’s a key to success with Online Seasons?

The key to success in Online Season is to play and win.  There’s great satisfaction after every victory as you see yourself progress closer to the next division.

How do you like to build your Hockey Ultimate Team?

By putting players from the same team on the same line to maximize chemistry. Once I get my team to be relatively competitive, then I like to chase the best players possible either through packs or the auction house.

Who’s your go-to team in NHL 94 Anniversary mode?

The Boston Bruins. With their size and strength, plus the speed of the mode, they deliver bone-rattling hits and can still put the puck in the net.

What’s the best way to play this mode?

With a buddy on the couch. Just like the original NHL 94, this mode is built for social competition where anyone can pick it up and be competitive.

NHL 14 is available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
