The game will feature new graphics modes with options for 4K resolution, 60 frames per second, texture and draw distance upgrades, HDR options, and ray-tracing. This will also be accompanied by smaller tweaks like faster loading times and implementation of 3D audio, and haptic feedback for the Dualsense.

You’ll be able to migrate your PS4 or Xbox One save using a one-time migration system that will happen at launch. If you’re a PlayStation 5 user who doesn’t own GTA Online you’ll be able to download a standalone version of the game for free for the first three months it’s available.

GTA Online itself is also getting some improvements and changes to better smooth out the transition. New players will be able to skip the GTAV story mode prologue before hopping into Online.

There is also now a dedicated GTA Online tutorial to help acclimate new players into the online mode. New players will also get a large influx of money to help get them on their feet as well as access to one of four of the game’s alter updates from the start. Choose between the Biker, Executive, Nightclub Owner, or Gunrunner to get your feet wet in the world of GTA Online.

If you’re a long-time player you can restart your character to take advantage of these new features and earn a little extra cash.

Last but not least, Rockstar ends this news post with the confirmation that “the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway. We look forward to sharing more as soon as we’re ready.”
