New The Witcher Netflix Series Posters Offer New Look at Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri

The Witcher Netflix series is almost here and we've got new posters to get us hype!

It’s finally here! It’s December, which means The Witcher Netflix series is less than a month away. To celebrate the impending launch, The Witcher Netflix Twitter account shared three new posters offering an even closer look at our three main characters: Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri.

“A sorceress unafraid to put powers to use, or to have someone to fetch her some fresh apple juice,” boasts Yennefer’s caption, while Ciri’s reads: “A runaway princess, and more than a prize, though her life has been changed by the Law of Surprise.” You can’t have Witcher posters without Geralt. Per Netflix’s caption for his moment in the spotlight: “A witcher whose feats any bard would endorse, beholden to no one ‘cept maybe his horse.”

Aw, Roach. We love you. Check out the posters for yourself:

In other The Witcher news, showrunner Lauren Hissrich confirmed that while the series itself has season 2 already confirmed, she actually has 7 seasons mapped out already, “I’ve [mapped out stories] for seven seasons. Right now it’s just about, ‘How do you set up stories that really capture audiences for years at a time?’ The worst thing we could do is put all of our energies just into season one, and not be thinking about where these characters can grow to,” said showrunner Lauren Hissrich in a recent interview with SFX magazine.

With a tagline of “The Witcher Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts,” it’s hard not to be totally amped for the upcoming 8-episode long series!

The upcoming show stars Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill as the main protagonist himself, alongside Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, and Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold. The author of the books himself is also on board with the project, working as the creative consultant for Hissrich’s vision.

The Witcher Netflix series officially debuts on December 20th!
