It’s been a while since we’ve seen Lara Croft in action on the big screen, with the last go-around, Lara Croft: The Cradle of Life, leaving a somewhat bitter taste in our mouths. (It’s not Angelina Jolie’s fault, though.) However, we won’t have to wait too long to see how the next evolution of Lara begins.
Warner Bros. and MGM have announced that the next Tomb Raider film will make its debut on March 16, 2018. Although no other casting details have been given about the film just yet, we do know that Alicia Vikander, who starred in Ex Machine and The Man From U.N.C.L.E., will be playing Croft, and providing her own level of zest to the character.
We’ll see just how Vikander fares in a couple years’ time. Just remember, filmmakers – don’t have her punch a shark, okay?
