The first ability shown in the gameplay demonstration was called Recall, which allows Link to rewind an object’s motion. It was used to bring a falling rock back into the sky so you could ride it like an elevator to the Sky Islands.

A hotly contested mechanic of Breath of the Wild, weapon durability, is back in Tears of The Kingdom; however, it now has a new twist. The ability allows you to fuse two items together. For example, in the footage, Link fused a tree branch and a rock together to create a more powerful and durable item. The combinations seem endless, and mixing and matching all sorts of different items together can create new ways to take down enemies.

The third ability, Ultrahand, resembles Magnesis from Breath of the Wild. It allows players to pick up objects and move them around freely. However, Ultrahand’s unique property can combine and fuse items together to create vehicles for Link to ride. In the footage, Link created a boat that uses fans to propel it across a large river.

The final ability we saw in the showcase was called Ascend, and it shoots Link into the sky and lets him clip through the ceiling. This can be used in caves to reach the surface or to get out of a sticky situation.

Plenty of other stuff was shown during the showcase, which you can check out below.
