New Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Video Dives Deep Into BD-1’s Creation

by Liana Ruppert

A new video just dropped showing off how BD-1 was created in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. If our hands-on time was anything to go by, this cute little droid was made with lots of love.

The video below shows off the thought process behind designing the perfect little droid. Every Star Wars fan knows that a solid droid companion is an absolute must and we spent quite a few hours with this adorable little bud ourselves earlier this month.

From glowing animator testimonials to the devs themselves talking about what makes BD-1 special, the latest Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order trailer is perfect for anyone interested in learning more about Cal’s handy-dandy sidekick:

As mentioned in our hands-on preview of the upcoming game from Respawn, BD-1 is small and cute but incredibly helpful. It can provide useful scans for a way out of a precarious situation, it can help decode memory sequences that Cal can find in order to piece together the troubled history of those that walked before him, it can even help with solving those puzzles that are just challenging enough to make you grit your teeth in concentration. BD-1 is helpful and adorable and really, what more could you want from a companion?

You can learn more about our thoughts on the upcoming game right here before it arrives on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 15, 2019.
