If we’ve learned one thing over the years, it’s that you just can’t stop a popular mascot. In this case, Sonic the Hedgehog.
Following his glorious return to racing with Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed last year, Sega is reportedly working on a new platforming adventure that will have the ‘hog, along with a few of his friends, to play in 3D and 2D settings – similar to how the 2011 release Sonic Generations was set up. The game, which Sega will reportedly announce next month, will be released across the board, including the Wii U, PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360, and PC. The 3DS and PS Vita may also get a 2D version of the game as well, with 3D graphics.
Again, nothing is official, but considering how much Sega likes their new Sonic games, it’s looking very possible. We’ll bring you official details once they’re revealed.
