First and foremost: SQUEE. Now that the fandom part of me is a little more settled, Neverwinter has a new update called Uprising that is introducing a new playable race called the Gith. Even better, we’ve also got a new trailer showing off what’s new, which you can watch above!

Cryptic Studios describes the latest update as tumultuous and one that is built on chaos and conflict. As described, the tensions between the Illithid and the Gith is coming to a head deep within the Undermountain. This bodes well for players looking for new challenges and new adventures while also offering up a chance to go up against Halaster Blackcloak in an endgame 10-player trail.

New rewards and a new narrative, you can’t go wrong! The studio added via a recent press release, “Adventurers’ extended stay in Undermountain was very prosperous for Protector’s Enclave, leading to renovations across the city. Users setting forth into Protector’s Enclave and beyond will also find an updated Early Game experience – with adjustments made to several zones and stories. Following the class optimizations in Undermountain, players can look forward to an all-new PvP map and gear to earn. Finally, a Fashion system overhaul will keep adventurers looking their best, and an additional ‘Tales of Old’ event will revive more dungeons from the past- giving players more dungeons than before – binding form and function.”

As for the free-to-play action MMMORPG, Neverwinter is available now on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
