It seems everyone developing for Activision has their hand in the Call of Duty franchise in one form or another, and now one more has joined the fray – Neversoft Entertainment.
The developers behind Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and the latest Guitar Hero games have announced on their website that they are hard at work on a new call of Duty game, though details haven’t yet been revealed.
“We have molded our team into a crack squad of eager developers ready to push the First Person Action genre in support of Activision’s Call of Duty franchise,” says a message on the website.
Other studios are working on the franchise as well, including Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games, Raven Software and Treyarch, who are producing Call of Duty: Black Ops II for release later this year. Man, how many Call of Duty games are coming out? Maybe too many…heh.
Best of luck to Neversoft on this new developmental direction!
