As we reported earlier this week, numerous pieces of information around the Internet indicated that Batgirl would be the next addition to the Injustice: Gods Among Us fighting roster. Today, WB Games and Netherrealm Studios confirmed her addition and offered a new trailer showing her in action. For those that think she’s just a “female version of Batman”, you’re in for a few surprises. The character will run you 400 Microsoft points ($5) or free with the Injustice Season Pass. A release date hasn’t been given yet, but June is a likely month.
On top of that, you’ll also unlock a Killing Joke costume for Joker at no extra charge and that’s no joke!
And while PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners have been enjoying the additions to Injustice (including this week’s Lobo), Wii U owners may have been feeling discouraged about not getting a turn. You can relax as WB Games has also confirmed that it will bring the add-on characters to the Wii U eShop sometime this Summer, though an exact date wasn’t confirmed for them either.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is available now for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.
