Over the Christmas holiday, major companies didn’t really have much of an update to offer across Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.  Sure, Microsoft has got a bunch of sales going on, as does Sony, but in terms of new games, there wasn’t much to talk about.  One, however, has managed to sneak onto the PlayStation Network, almost completely unnoticed.

Just Add Water, the team that released Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath last year for the PS3 (and this past week for the PS Vita), have unleashed Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee HD, a remake of the hit Xbox game that came out over a decade ago.  For $9.99, you’ll be able to take control of the cute little creature, along with his full-sized Abe-like buddy, as they explore worlds and battle dangerous enemies.

The game features great high-definition graphics, as well as all the gameplay you remember from the original effort.  Just Add Water is also working on a PS Vita version, which is expected to release early next year.

If you’re still unsure about getting the game, a demo is available free of charge, so you can see if Munch is your speed.
