New Krypt Mortal Kombat 11 Event Teased

by Liana Ruppert

With new character arrivals happening soon in Mortal Kombat 11 (looking at you, Spawn), there’s a lot of reasons to jump back into NetherRealm Studio’s fighting game Mortal Kombat 11. That includes a new krypt event for the latest Mortal Kombat game with a small teaser for what’s next.

In the Twitter post seen below from creative director Ed Boon, we see the words “Krypt Event 2 Koming Soon” accompanying an image of a languid skeleton languishly laying amidst lit candles. For those unfamiliar with the fighting game, this marks Mortal Kombat 11’s second Krypt event since April’s launch with the first occurring just earlier this month.

Players will be tasked with finding a unique Kronika Vault within the Krypt in order to open chests that hold special loot for those that want everything. While details of what the new event will entail are still a mystery, the knowledge that another one is happening so soon is exciting for both new and dedicated players.

Details should be arriving soon with specifics for the event, so stay tuned! While we await news of the new Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt event, the game itself is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and soon the Google Stadia.
