Mortal Kombat 11 is almost here but there are still a few more roster spots yet to be revealed. Luckily, NetherRealm isn’t leaving us hanging and we’ve got our first look at yet another playable fighter: Cetrion.
The Elder God has a unique moveset all her own rooted with a more natural touch. She’s a fighter that is definitely in-touch with the powers granted by the Earth, and her Elemental skills are teased beautifully in the reveal trailer below courtesy of our friends over at Game Informer:

We weren’t the only ones excited with the big reveal either, especially so since it was unexpected:

So, a combination of Starfire, Enchantress, Ivy and Tremor. Alright, I can get with it.

Many of the responding comments reflected what’s seen above, likening the latest character to someone more akin to NetherRealm’s other major series: Injustice. We haven’t seen her Fatalities yet, but we are curious to see what else she’ll have up her sleeve, as well as alternate looks for the fighter as well.
While new reveals are incredible, we’re still holding out for some of our favorite returning characters. Though seeing ‘ol Johnny Cage was amazing, and Jade’s new look is killer, the word has been pretty quiet about Rain’s appearance … and still no Mileena either. Still, we have Noob Saibot, and that’s always a win, so we’ll just have to be patient ahead of the game’s release later this month.
Mortal Kombat 11 will arrive on April 23rd for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. According to the Steam’s official listing, we’ve got a lot to look forward to:
“Mortal Kombat is back and better than ever in the next evolution of the iconic franchise. The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own. The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it. And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.”
