Did the hunter switch from a Great Sword to a Bowgun while mounted?

We got a look at some eye-watering combat gameplay, including numerous weapon reveals. They also showcased a few new monsters:

  • Doshaguma – highly territorial and aggressive that comes in large packs
  • Chatacabra – an amphibian that uses saliva to strengthen its forelegs
  • Ceratonoth – a beast that catches lightning strikes with their back and unleashing them to the ground
  • Dalthydon – a wyvern that fights back with its headshell when it senses danger

There’s also a new small but agile mount, Seikret. The biggest change, however, is the ability to switch to a secondary weapon without returning to the base!

They also added a new focus mode feature that helps hunters aim and control better for a smoother monster hunting experience. For new equipment, we have the new Hook Slinger that grabs items at a distance.
