The PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 features LAN support and extensive class control options for created games.
Infinity Ward’s Rob Bowling announced the news via Twitter:
“Yes, MW3 has LAN along with detailed class restriction control + default class creation option,” he wrote.
PC players have the ability to restrict any weapon, piece of equipment, perk, Death Streak or attachment from being used when setting up the game, Bowling explained.
Publisher Activision previously confirmed PC versions of the game will support dedicated servers, a feature missing from Modern Warfare 2.
EA’s first-person shooter archrival Battlefield 3 also has dedicated servers for PC options, but does not offer LAN play.
