Whether you’ve been looking forward to Nier Reincarnation or you’re just now finding out about it, you may be interested to hear about the announcement made today regarding the game’s release.
As announced by outlets like IGN, Nier Reincarnation will release on July 28 and will be available for free through both the App Store and Google Play!
Mobile Spin-Off Nier Reincarnation Releases July 28
If you simply cannot get enough Nier content, more is coming next month and get this, it’s free (with in-app purchases). To be a bit more specific, a mobile spin-off from producer Yosuke Saito and creative director Yoko Taro called Nier Reincarnation is set to release on July 28.
At release, it’ll be available to download for free on the App Store and Google Play. Pre-registration is available right now, so if you know for certain you want to check out Nier Reincarnation on mobile, we recommend taking a moment and heading to the App Store or Google Play and pre-registering.
According to IGN, over 300,000 people have already pre-registered for Nier Reincarnation, and with every additional 100,000 pre-registrations, “Square Enix will increase the rewards players begin with.”

For those unfamiliar with Nier Reincarnation, the website offers a brief description of the game’s world and characters, and we can’t help but be incredibly curious about the game and eager to check it out.
“A girl awakens on a cold stone floor. She finds herself in an infinitely vast place filled with buildings that touch the very sky. Guided by a mysterious creature who calls herself Mama, she begins to explore her new surroundings. To reclaim what she has lost – and atone for her sins – she sets off on a journey through this place of unknown creation… a place known as The Cage.”
In addition, seven characters are shown along with brief descriptions of each character. These characters include the girl mentioned in the world description whose name is only provided as “The Girl of Light” and a visual for the mysterious creature called Mama who looks like a ghost.
All in all, it looks like a lot of love has been put into Nier Reincarnation. It looks stunning, and it should feel like a nice treat for Nier fans given it’s free to download and play. Of course, we’re curious to hear what you think of Nier Reincarnation.
