MGS4 date almost confirmed

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots should be getting a release date in “Late Q2 2008”, SCEA says, accompanied with a Metal Gear Online “Starter Pack” “to support online gameplay”.

There’s also been news that pre-orders of the game will receive “a multiplayer beta test” in late April, though this mightn’t be the only was to get onto the testing program. This information has been confirmed by Konami.

This news arrived at the Destination PlayStation conference, though Kotaku have gone one step further and implicitly said MGS4 will be coming out on 12th June.

Sony have announced they’ll be releasing a celebratory bundle, consisting of an 80GB PlayStation 3, MGS4, and DualShock 3, this’ll be priced at $499 for US customers.
