As reported by outlets like IGN, a press release from 505 Games parent company Digital Bros has brought some exciting information to light. Specifically, that Metroid Dread developer MercurySteam is working on a brand new game and have partnered with publisher 505 Games to co-publish and develop it.

Metroid Dread Developer MercurySteam Working On New Action RPG
MercurySteam is working on a new game, as was revealed in a press release from 505 Games parent company Digital Bros. MercurySteam has partnered with 505 Games on the project, which is described as a third-person action RPG “set in a dark fantasy world” and referred to as codename Project Iron.
“Digital Bros Group (DIB:MI), listed on the Euronext STAR segment of Borsa Italiana and operating in the videogames market, today announces an agreement between its global publishing division 505 Games and MercurySteam Entertainment S.L. for the co-publishing and development of a new video game set for multiplatform global release.”
The press release also goes on to talk about the financial investment being put into the project, with the initial development amount coming out to 27 million Euros.
“Codenamed “Project Iron”, the new videogame is a third person action RPG set in a dark fantasy world. The intellectual property (IP) of the game is co-owned by Digital Bros and MercurySteam Entertainment through the joint-venture MSE & DB S.L. set up under the Spanish Law. Project Iron’s initial development investment amounts to Euro 27 million.”
