Deep Silver, who took over publishing rights for the game after acquiring them from THQ months ago, has announced that the 4A Games-produced sequel has gone gold.  The game will meet its May 14th release date without any further delays.

Those of you who pre-order the game can upgrade to a Limited Edition that includes a Ranger Mode DLC, where you’ll be able to take part in a challenge without the help of a heads-up display and with far less ammunition.  You’ll also gain access to the Russian AKSU rifle and an additional 100 military grade rounds to help you out.  Remember to use your bullets carefully.
