We’ve been playing the Metal Gear Rising Revengeance demo for some time now, but up until this point, the only way you could really play it was to purchase the Zone of the Enders HD Collection. (Or if you managed to find a way to get around the PlayStation Network update in Japan and download the region locked demo that way.) But that’ll change soon enough.
Konami has announced that it will be releasing the Metal Gear Rising Revengeance demo for mainstream release across PlayStation Network and Xbox Live starting next month. Though a specific release date hasn’t been given, we’re expecting it sometime around the middle of the month.
The demo provides a brief but delicious taste of the kind of action you can expect from Raiden, including plenty of precision slicing and over-the-top action, the kind of stuff that the developers at Platinum Games are usually known for. It’s really good, as you can see from our hands-on impressions here on the site.
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance hits stores this February. Don’t miss this electric sword party.
