Out of all of Sony’s projects on PlayStation Network, one that intrigues us quite a bit of Dust 514, a free-to-play shooter that’s currently in the works for a late summer release. However, if you can’t wait to play it, there is a way into the beta – but it will actually cost you a little bit of moolah.
According to reports, the developer behind Dust, CCP, has offered an opportunity to buy your way into the beta through the offering of a Mercenary Pack. With this, you’ll gain access to everything included in the beta, as well as XP bonuses and extra weapons. In addition, you’ll also get in-game currency to buy some goods. It does make sense in its own twisted way!
The Mercenary Pack is expected to be offered today as part of Sony’s update to the PlayStation Network, so keep an eye open and get ready to shoot anyone – and everyone. We should have a preview of the game for you very soon.
