Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered Pre-Order Listing Leaks

Another leak, another confirmation that a Mass Effect trilogy remaster is on the way.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

It’s a month, which means a new Mass Effect Trilogy remastered leak is upon us. While we all know that the Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered edition has to be happening, BioWare has yet to confirm the news despite the various leaks that have led up until this point. The latest Mass Effect leak comes by way of a UK retailer that spilled the beans regarding how to secure a copy of the upcoming game.

The latest leak began with a list of games that are coming out with a Mass Effect Remaster among them with a release date set for later this month. Reddit was on the case immediately, which even led to posts claiming they were able to get a pre-order in with the original retailer that leaked. It was then that one Redditor detailed their journey, saying they were able to go up to the front desk in the UK and pre-order a copy with nothing amiss. The date the store rep gave the customer was September 29th.

Attached in the above post is also a photo of the receipt as proof of this transaction. Since the above post began gaining traction, others tried to go to the same retailer but with less luck. Whether the mixup was amended remains to be seen but between this and the various other leaks, we can’t imagine BioWare would be holding off on an official announcement. If we had to guess.

The Mass Effect trilogy is unparalleled in the way it was iconic. This was a game that made players feel like they knew these characters, cared for these characters, and felt invested in the fight against the Reapers. Mass Effect players saw themselves within Shepard and fell in love with the different romance options met throughout this space journey, and walked away feeling like they’ve made a new family with the friends met along the way. This may sound corny, but in my 30 years of gaming no franchise has ever made me feel quite like this one has.a

Back when Mass Effect Andromeda was revealed to offer a new story separate from Shepard’s story to follow a new cast into Andromeda, fans were excited but the launch issues of bugs, animation issues, and the massive open-world mechanics tarnished how players saw a new adventure, which revived the desire to see Shepard once more. PlayStation 4 players especially have been begging for a remaster given that it is available on this gen through Xbox One thanks to backwards compatibility.

Now we just have to wait for the official announcement. With an alleged release date set for next month, this could be happening as early as this week.
