Marvel Not Ruling out MvC4

A fourth Marvel vs. Capcom title isn't out of the question.
This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

Jay Ong is the head of Marvel’s console gaming division and he’s been making the rounds discussing Insomniac’s new Spider-Man game as well as the future of Marvel and console games. One of the most wanted Marvel console games is a new game in the long-running Marvel vs. Capcom titles. When asked about the possibility of a fourth Marvel vs. Capcom happening, Ong didn’t rule it out. While he didn’t outright confirm a new game is in development, he did state that he knows fans have been asking for it and there are more Marvel games in the pipeline.

At this point both Capcom and Marvel know there’s a demand for MvC4. Capcom unfortunately had to pull everything related to Marvel off store and online shelves when the company’s contract with Marvel ran out several years ago. Since that time the company hasn’t had the best financial success and even partnered with Sony in order to produce Street Fighter 5, which didn’t perform up to sales expectations. We’ll just have to wait to see if a potentially Marvel vs. Capcom 4 could perform a bit better.
