School may be back in session, but Microsoft is making sure you’ve still got plenty of gaming to go around. Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb revealed the latest batch of Xbox Live Marketplace content that’ll be hitting the service over this and next week, including several new games, DLC content and some money-saving sales.
First off, this week on XBLA, you’ll be able to play the new Plants vs. Zombies pinball table in Pinball FX 2 (240 Microsoft points), Dogfight 1942 (1200 Microsoft points) and Kung Fu Strike: The Warrior’s Rise (800 Microsoft points) starting tomorrow, while Klei Entertainment, the team behind the Shank games, will release Mark of the Ninja (1200 Microsoft points) this Friday. Meanwhile, next week will bring Red Johnson’s Chronicles: One Against All and Double Dragon Neon (800 Microsoft points).
Over on the add-on front, Skyrim: Hearthfire just released for 400 Microsoft points, and the Final Assault pack for Modern Warfare 3 will drop this Thursday for 1200 Microsoft points. A new pack for Quantum Conundrum, titled IKE-aramba!, will release next week for 240 Microsoft points.
As for Games On Demand, this week brings Street Fighter x Tekken and Sniper Elite V2, as well as Konami’s sleeper hit Birds of Steel. Next week is pretty big as well with Max Payne 3 coming out, along with FIFA Street and Kinect Sports: Season 2. Prices vary.
Finally, there are plenty of games sales over the next week. This week has several marked-down favorites, like Sine Mora for 800 Microsoft points and Rayman 3 HD and Mad Riders for 400 Microsoft points apiece. And next week will have huge PopCap sales running, including Bejeweled 3 and Peggle for 400 Microsoft points each.
So save up your points, because you’re bound to spend ’em!
