Care to see some real fighting experts go at it in two of the world’s better fighting games?  You’ll get your chance, as Major League Gaming has announced that they will be airing their summer event at the fighting game arena, bringing together 16 of the world’s best combatants for a tournament that brings over $3,400 in prizes.

The top 8 players from the MLG Spring Championship for two games, the 2011 reboot of Mortal Kombat and the recently released Soul Calibur V, will compete for $3,400 first place prizes for each game.

The events, which kick off Friday, August 10 at 4:00 PM EDT and conclude Sunday, August 12 at 12:00 AM EDT, will be broadcast at this link: http://www.majorleaguegaming.com/live.  An option will be available to pay for a higher feed without ads, but they’re really not that much of a hindrance if you don’t want to pay.  Mortal Kombat matches will start first, with Pool Play, Bracket Semifinals and then the Finals, followed by Soul Calibur V.

If you want to learn a thing or two about fighting games, this is the obvious place to start.  These guys are GOOD.
