I’ll just go ahead and say it – Halo 4 floored me last week. The multiplayer is addictive as ever and the new engine really goes a long way into reintroducing the Halo universe, while still keeping some familiarity. It’ll be a monster hit this fall, and Mad Catz is definitely on board the hype express, as it has announced that it is working on a series of Halo-exclusive headsets for the fall.
While specific tech details weren’t given about the headsets just yet, they do have the full support of 343 Industries producer Frank O’Connor, who’s heading up the Halo project. He stated that his team has worked closely with the engineers at Mad Catz and other industrial designers “to ensure compelling and appropriate aesthetic designs that map closely to Halo’s epic sci-fi universe.”
Pricing details and release date information are likely to be unveiled over the next few months, but don’t be surprised if these headsets land day-and-date with Halo 4, just in time to get Master Chief fans even more into the action. Say, can we have a headset that’s shaped like his helmet? We’d buy it…
