We previewed United Front’s forthcoming kart-racing game LittleBigPlanet Karting quite a while ago, and yet it’s still fresh in our minds, probably from the excellent multiplayer beta we recently ran through on the PlayStation Network. But we won’t have to wait too long to do some runs around the track, as Sony has officially announced a release date for the game.
LittleBigPlanet Karting will be making the rounds on PS3 on November 6th, just in time for the holiday rush. Players everywhere will be able to take part in racing and battle arena fun with their favorite Sackboy characters, and they’ll also be able to make up their own, using hundreds of accessories. The game will also feature stage customization, so you can create your own racing utopia however you see fit.
Pre-orders are already available for the game, and Sony is including a fun little bonus for those who take advantage. Those who jump on the game will get a day one nugget of downloadable goodness, in the form of a Kevin Butler-inspired Sackboy, as well as his executive golf cart. Say, can we use that VP mug as a projectile? Eh, why break it?
