TT Games has had their fill of DC Comics-licensed games we’re guessing, between the original Lego Batman and its follow-up DC Super Heroes. That’s not to say they’re tired of it, but they wanted to do something new. So… enter Marvel Comics.

TT Games, Warner Bros. Interactive and Marvel Studios are teaming up for a new game called Lego Marvel Super Heroes that will release this fall for a number of consoles, including PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and Vita. The game will feature a number of characters from the Marvel universe (Lego-ized, of course), including Iron Man, Spider-Man, Wolverine and more, as they set out to stop the evil Loki and the nearly unstoppable Galactus. Yes! A Lego Galactus, baby!

“We’re very excited to bring a myriad of classic Marvel characters to life in LEGO form for some fun, family-friendly gameplay in Lego Marvel Super Heroes,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games Publishing. “Players will brave the ultimate mission to save the world as they explore famous landmarks in Lego New York and take the adventure beyond Earth to iconic locations in the Marvel Universe.”

“Fans of both Lego and Marvel have wanted this game for years, and we’re addressing that demand with more Marvel Universe characters than ever in a console game,” said TQ Jefferson, Vice President, Games Production, Marvel Entertainment. “If you’re a fan of Spider-Man, the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy or scores of other Marvel characters, this is the game for you.”

We’ll have a preview for you soon, so be sure to check back for more details. Let’s just hope they throw Lego Stan Lee in there.
