The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Leaked For Nintendo Switch

Is Skyward Sword finally heading to the Switch?
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Many fans are hoping to hear some form of information about the next installment in the Legend of Zelda series in the near future, but it doesn’t appear likely. That said, a recent leak points to another adventure, Skyward Sword, making its way to the Nintendo Switch, something Nintendo said they weren’t planning on doing.

Well, they said they didn’t have any plans to bring The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword to the Nintendo Switch in 2018. However, a recent listing to appear on Amazon UK points to the port coming to the popular portable console, indicating that the times are changing. That, and a calendar. The listing in question has since been removed from Amazon UK’s website, but the Internet is forever and Wario64 captured a screenshot and shared it on Twitter.

Outside of 2018, Nintendo has been able to release a Legend of Zelda game every year for a few years following the two titles every two years cadence they previously had. With Breath of the Wild 2 on everyone’s minds, it would be a bit surprising to see another entry in the series brought into the fold of the current generation. Then again, we got Link’s Awakening last year, so another updated port wouldn’t be completely out of the ordinary. If the since deleted listing is any indication, that’s what is next for Zelda fans looking to play on the Nintendo Switch.

Unfortunately, we won’t really know anything about a Switch port for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword until Nintendo announces it, but for anyone looking to play it, the title is currently available on the Nintendo Wii. If the Switch version is legit, we will hopefully learn more in the near future. If it’s more Zelda you are looking for, perhaps consider checking out our game hub.
