If there’s one thing we were wishing for Nintendo to pick up on, it was more of their classic digital releases for Wii and 3DS. And while the Wii is slowly but surely getting a few more favorites (Double Dragon II just dropped this week for five bucks), the 3DS is getting a whole month dedicated to the classics of old.
Yesterday, Nintendo revealed a release schedule consisting of numerous NES and Game Boy favorites that will be re-released for the 3DS over the month of July. They are as follows…
The Legend of Zelda (NES)- July 5th
Kirby’s Pinball Land (Game Boy)- July 12th
The Sword of Hope II (Game Boy)- July 12th
Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters (Game Boy)- July 19th
Tumblepop (Game Boy)- July 19th
Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (Game Boy)- July 26th
Sonic Blast (Game Gear)- TBD
Sonic Labyrinth (Game Gear)- TBD
Two more games are set to be released as well.
And you can start your 8-bit summer run now, as Super Mario Land has been reduced in price to $2.99 for this weekend only. Check out the trailer and get on it already!
