Learn More About The New Monster Hunter Movie In A Livestream With Director Paul W.S. Anderson

On the Twitch channel for Capcom USA, a livestream aired featuring writer and director Paul W.S. Anderson. In the stream, Monster Hunter fans can learn more about the film, and get a better idea as to how Paul W.S. Anderson tackled the tall task of adapting a video game series as expansive as Monster Hunter.

Anderson also addresses the difficulties he’s faced trying to release a film during a pandemic during the livestream, with the pandemic being the root cause of the film’s release delay from April 23 to December 25.

Elaborating further on the Monster Hunter film in the Twitch livestream are Monster Hunter producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and game director Kaname Fujioka. The duo add insight into the process of adapting a game like Monster Hunter into a major theatrical film, and they both seem really excited for the film’s release.

It’s a wonderful stream, and we highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t done so already. For those who are less familiar with the upcoming Monster Hunter film, here’s the film’s official synopsis as provided by the film’s website:

“Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When an unexpected sandstorm transports Captain Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her unit (TI Harris, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta) to a new world, the soldiers are shocked to discover that this hostile and unknown environment is home to enormous and terrifying monsters immune to their firepower.

In their desperate battle for survival, the unit encounters the mysterious Hunter (Tony Jaa), whose unique skills allow him to stay one step ahead of the powerful creatures. As Artemis and Hunter slowly build trust, she discovers that he is part of a team led by the Admiral (Ron Perlman). Facing a danger so great it could threaten to destroy their world, the brave warriors combine their unique abilities to band together for the ultimate showdown.”

If this sounds up your alley as a Monster Hunter fan, a Milla Jovovich fan, or as a fan of fun, interesting films in general we recommend checking out the stream with Paul W.S. Anderson, and keeping an eye out for the Monster Hunter movie’s release on December 25!
