A trailer has been making the rounds on the internet alleging to be a huge PS5 reveal for the upcoming Godfall title. It looked incredible and teased amazing things for the next generation of PlayStation, though there were doubts about the leaked footage’s legitimacy. Now those concerns can be laid to rest because the studio just confirmed that the video is in fact actual footage that was leaked ahead of schedule. There’s just one catch.
While the trailer was exciting, the studio did mention that it is an older internal presentation and not necessarily accurate when reflecting the title in its current state. Oh, and it’s not actual PS5 footage, it’s actually from a PC build.
According to the studio, “We can confirm that the circulating trailer is year-old PC footage used as part of an internal presentation. We are energized by your excitement and look forward to showing you how far this game has come. Stay tuned for a more detailed look soon!”

The “more detailed look soon” could absolutely be the February event Sony has planned, an event that many believe will be our long-last first full look at the PlayStation 5 (beyond the logo reveal).
Have no clue about what we’re talking about? Check out the trailer in question right here.
From what we’ve seen thus far, including the leaked footage, it looks like an interesting concept and perfect for those looking for a new fantasy adventure to dive into, though thorough details about Godfall aren’t known at this time. Given its release window of “holiday 2020,” it looks like Godfall will be among the titles available at launch for the PS5.
