Valve have shown off their third campaign, out of a total of five, for upcoming zombie romper Left 4 Dead 2.

Journos had a play of the campaign, during which they encountered new special Infected the Jockey.

The Jockey will leap out from the shadows and ride on a survivor’s back, at which point the player will have no control of their movement meaning the jockey can, and most likely will, steer the character into more blood-thirsty brain-munchers.

Jockeys are a real threat to groups who have dawdlers, as they can ride a player off into the sunset far, far away from the rest of the team taking away valuable time and resources.

The campaign starts on a highway on which the survivors must carefully navigate their way through a mish mash of cars towards the Ferris wheel in the distance.

This leads to a descent down a hill, a run through a motel and then eventually ends up in the carnival.

Apparently the parlor games at the fair will be fully working when the games comes out.

A merry-go-round is encountered by the survivors who are required to fight off an infinite horde of zombies and reach a switch as they power towards them.

There’ll be a lot more in our full preview, which should be out very soon, just keep checking back at the Left 4 Dead 2 hub.
