It’s Official – Insomniac Games’ Overstrike Has Become Fuse

We take a first look at the company's first multi-console action game.

Insomniac Games intrigued us with its first PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 project last summer when it first introduced Overstrike, a fast-moving third-person shooter featuring an eclectic cast of characters. We haven’t heard much about the game since that time, but Insomniac recently revealed that it has mutated into something much, much bigger. Say hello to Fuse.

The game still has third-person co-op shooting action in mind using the four original team members that were introduced last year in Overstrike’s trailer, but now it has a much better focus on teamwork and making things blow up, as the team strives to bring down a maniacal robot boss.

Other plot points are being hidden at this point but GameTrailers.tv is set to reveal more from the game, including footage, tomorrow night on its weekly show. We suggest checking it out, especially if you’re a fan of Insomniac.

Fuse is currently slated for a March 2013 release, but that could be subject to change. Stay tuned for an official preview!
