IO Interactive has had a crazy few years with the launch of the Hitman series reboot, the gaining of its independence as a studio, and now the announcement of the next project after Hitman 3.
IO Interactive Announces Project 007 With New Teaser Trailer
IOI announced this morning that it will be creating a new 007 video game. The teaser was incredibly brief but the IOI website had some more information.
“Project 007 (working title) is a brand new James Bond video game to be developed and published by IO Interactive.
Featuring a wholly original Bond story, players will step into the shoes of the world’s favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story.
IO Interactive is currently recruiting elite talent from around the world to join the team that will build out this exciting and unique gaming title.”
So it sounds like the game won’t be out for quite some time, but the prospect of a new 007 game is exciting. Not to mention a perfect pairing of developer and IP.
Even though it will be a while before we hear about this game again, IOI is still hard at work on Hitman 3, which will release on January 21, 2021. The entire trilogy will also be playable in PSVR which games a whole new way to experience the game.
Seriously, now’s the time to play Hitman if you haven’t yet, plenty of time to get familiar with IO Interactive before the release of this 007 project.
