Injustice: Gods Among Us – Guide Preview – Aquaman – Introduction & Best Basic Attacks

by Prima Games Staff

The ability to control your opponent’s movements from anywhere on the screen, great overall damage, and the ability to slip out of ground combos after being hit are what makes Aquaman such a good character. He also makes for the perfect beginner character—basic but extremely effective even without a full grasp of his abilities. He doesn’t offer a lot of moves (one of the reasons why he’s so great for starting players), but the ones he does use do the job well. His combos are also great for beginners as they’re basically made up of the exact same components, regardless of how the combo is started.

Interactive Object Type: Power

Super Move

Atlantean Rage

Hit Level: Overhead

Range: Sweep

Description: Aquaman summons the sea, stabs his opponent with his trident, and then holds the opponent up to be swallowed by a shark. This attack hits overhead so it must be blocked from the standing block position. When this attack is blocked, his opponent can punish it with fast normal attacks and fast special attacks.

Character Power

Water of Life

Command: Press the Power button

Description: When activated, Aquaman can recover while being hit by attack strings, allowing him to block the remainder of his opponent’s attacks even after being hit initially. Though he can activate Water of Life while being hit, he will only escape and block if he is grounded.
