Ever since its official announcement last year, we've been wondering what the status was on the console version of Superflat Games' independent hit Lone Survivor.  Well, now we know.

Jasper Byrne confirmed today via a PlayStation Blog post that the 8-bit style psychological survival game will be arriving on PlayStation 3 and PS Vita this summer, via PlayStation Network download.  In the game, you find yourself surviving with a group of friends, making some harsh choices as you try and deal with unspeakable terrors.

The game will feature exclusive content not featured in the original version, as well as full Cross-Buy and Cross-Play support, as well as unlockable Trophies.  You'll also be able to experience new dialogue with NPC's, as well as additional items to use in order to stay alive.  Look out for new side quests and a "Yellow" ending as well.

We'll have a preview of Lone Survivor in the months ahead.  In the meantime, you might want to keep the lights on…
